This Privacy Notice is applicable to the services offered to you by DigiKey Corporation, a company located in the United States (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us" or "DigiKey"), with subsidiaries or branches in various countries/regions worldwide. These services include registration, login, purchase and after-sale communications. DigiKey and its PRC representative DigiKey Shanghai are accessible through www.digikey.cn (the "Site"). Prepared in compliance with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China concerning the protection of personal information, this Privacy Notice is aimed to elucidate who we are and how we collect, use, store and safeguard your personal information. Additionally, it provides guidance on how you may exercise your rights and interests concerning personal information. I. How we collect and use your personal information

We collect your personal information with the purpose of delivering and consistently enhancing our products and services. Below is a list of some of the functions of the Site and an elucidation of how your personal information is used to fulfill those functions.

1. Registration and Log In

   When you register for an account on the Site, myDIGIKEY, we will collect your name, mobile phone number, email address, account password, address (including city and province) and name on the text of invoice. The above personal information is necessary for the registration of a user account on the Site. Once registered, you have the flexibility to utilize the information saved in your account at any time through the edit function.

   Certain functions of the Site are exclusively accessible only after you register for an account. If you choose not to register, you can still browse product pages and use the order and payment functions. In such cases, after you place your order, we will retain the status of your order and your shopping cart for future reference.

2. Order Placement and Order Management

   When placing an online order on the Site, you have the option to select information such as the manufacturer's part number, series, stock status, specification attributes to obtain a filtered search result. Upon choosing the wanted product, you can proceed to place your order. For each order, we will generate a sales order number/shopping cart ID, shipping address, VAT information, export details, shipping fee information, payment information and order description, collectively forming your order information. The collection of the order information generated during your order placement is integral to performing tasks such as identity verification, transaction confirmation, payment settlement, order fulfillment, order tracking, and provision of customer service and after-sales support. It is important to note that order information is essential for us to deliver efficient order placement service.

   For your convenience in order management, your order information will be displayed on the "Orders" and "Carts" upon logging in. You are also welcomed to click "Help and Support" "Order Status" section on the front page of the Site for such information.

3. Order Payment

   You have the option to make online payment through the third-party payment institutions we to whom we collaborate, including Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay and wire transfer payment channels (hereinafter referred to as "Payment Institutions"). To facilitate the payment process for your order, it is necessary for us to share your amount of order, order number and other payment information with these Payment Institutions. When you use the payment function, the Site will redirect to the Payment Institutions' page to collect and verify your bank card (including debit card and credit card) and other necessary payment information to confirm your payment order and process the payment. For specific details, please refer to the privacy notice provided by each payment institution.

4. Product Delivery

   Upon completing the payment for your order, we will collaborate with SF Express to deliver the products in your order. We will share your order information with SF Express in the delivery process to ensure the prompt and secure delivery of the ordered products.

5. Order Invoicing

   If you require us to issue an invoice, please kindly provide the name on the text of invoice, tax registration number (optional), email address and phone number. We will generate the invoice based on this information and your specific request.

6. Auxiliary Functions

   To help you process orders more efficiently, the Site offers additional functions such as myLists, Conversion Calculators, Scheme-it, Reference Design Library, Cross Reference and other auxiliary functions. For registered users, we will collect and store your myLists information, as well as the documents created in Scheme-it. This enables easy retrieval of information for your subsequent inquiries.

7. Activities and Publicity

   To provide you with comprehensive information about the Site, we periodically organize member benefit activities on both the Site and DigiKey's WeChat Official Account. DigiKey may collect your personal information based on various promotional activities, such as activity codes, comments, sharing information, etc.

8. Customer Service Support


1. When providing customer service support, in order to accurately address your concerns and provide you with corresponding assistance, we may request relevant contact information, order information and payment information. If you file a complaint, request clarification of the Privacy Notice or seek enforcement of your personal information rights through our customer service, we may also collect your mobile phone number, email address or other contact information for convenient communication and effective resolution of your concerns.
2. We will retain the contents and records of your communications with our customer service, along with other pertinent information related to your inquiries, to investigate factual issues, safeguard your legitimate rights and interests and continuously improve our service capabilities. If you choose not to allow us to process such information, our ability to respond promptly to your requests or inquiries may be impacted; however, this will not affect your ability to use the Site.
3. To enhance our service quality, we will also gather your complaints and feedback, including your name and email address. We commit to a prompt response following a thorough review of your feedback.
9. Safeguard of Transaction Security and Optimization

   To safeguard the security of your user account, transactions and system operations, and to facilitate proper use of our services while addressing any issues you may encounter, we, along with our third-party service providers or partners, may automatically collect your device information, connection and status information from your device during your use of the Site. This includes your device model, unique device identifier, device MAC address, IP address, operating system, access dates and times, generalized geographic location (such as country/region or city level location) and other information related to your internet activity.

   Collection of such personal information serves to enhance our understanding of the Site visitors. We use this information in our internal analysis to improve the quality, relevance and security of the Site. Additionally, this data assist in detecting and preventing fraud, security threats and other illegal or suspicious activity that may occur on the Site.

10. Additional Use

    You acknowledge that we may use your personal information for purposes beyond those specifically outlined in this Privacy Notice that are compatible with the purposes for which the information was provided such as checking customer credit ratings, advertising and marketing analysis, updating inventory notifications, auditing transaction logs, fraud monitoring and prevention, optimizing customer experience, etc. We will take sufficient security measures to carry out such uses as permitted by laws and regulations.

II. How we use cookies and similar technology

To ensure the proper functioning of the Site, enhance your user experience, improve our services and track your interactions with the Site, we employ first and third-party technologies to store small data files on your computer, which typically contain identifiers, site names and certain alphanumeric characters, such as cookies, web beacons, pixel tags and similar tracking technology (collectively, the "Cookies"). III. How we provide, transmit and subprocess your personal information

1. Providing to Third Parties
1. Due to the business requirements of various countries/regions, we may share your registration and order information with our subsidiary in Shanghai, China (DIGI-KEY Electronics (SHANGHAI) Company Limited, phone: + 400 920 1199, email: service.sh@digikey.com); Additionally, if you opt to pay in US Dollars, we may provide such information to our subsidiary in Hong Kong, China (DigiKey Hong Kong, phone: + 852-3104-0500, email: hongkong.support@digikey.com). This is intended to facilitate timely communication and provide relevant order service from these subsidiaries.
2. As our business evolves, we may engage in transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and transfers of assets. If personal information is transferred, we will request the new custodian of your personal information to uphold its protection in accordance with laws and regulations, and at a standard no less stringent than that set forth in this Privacy Notice; otherwise, we will require them to obtain your consent once again if necessary.
2. International Transmission

   Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country/region in which you reside. Specifically, the Site operates within the United States, and our subsidiaries, branches, third-party service providers and partners operate globally. This means that upon collection, your personal information may be transferred to any of these countries/regions for processing.

   The data protection legislation of these countries/regions may differ from that referenced in this Privacy Notice and may vary in the level of protection afforded to personal information. However, we have taken appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal information will remain protected in accordance with this Privacy Notice. These include the implementation of the European Commission's or the UK Standard Contractual Clauses where appropriate, which can be provided upon request. We have implemented similar safeguards with our third-party service providers and partners, and further details can also be provided upon request.

3. Subprocessing
1. To enhance our service provision to you, we may entrust the processing of your personal information to third-party partners. Examples of third-party partners include cloud service providers, marketing service providers, informaiton technology service providers, customer service plug-in providers and payment service providers. Information about you may also be collected from these third-party service providers. The delegation of processing your information to third-party partners will strictly adhere to legal, proper, necessary, specific and express purposes described in this Privacy Notice.
2. In instances where we delegate the processing of your personal information, we will instruct these third-party partners to process the information in alignment with our stipulated requirements. Third-party partners seeking to utilize your information for purposes beyond what has been delegated by us will be required to obtain separate consent from you.

IV. How we store and protect your personal information

1. Storage of Your Personal Information
1. Geographic Scope of Storage

   The personal information you provide or generate on this Site will be stored in the United States. DigiKey will ensure that your personal information is appropriately and adequately secured in accordance with internationally recognized data protection standards.

2. Storage Period

   We will retain your personal information only for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. Additionally, we may also store information in compliance with retention requirements mandated by law. For example, the Electronic Commerce Law of the People's Republic of China requires that goods, service and transaction information be retained for at least three years from the completion of the transaction.

   After the expiration of the designated time, we will delete or anonymize your personal information as mandated by applicable law. If deletion or anonymization is not feasible (for example, if your personal information is stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from the processing of any other information until deletion becomes possible.

2. Measures to Protect Your Personal Information
1. We place great value on and are committed to safeguarding the security of your personal information. We will implement reasonable and practical security precautions that conform to industry standards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, destruction, or loss. DigiKey's Site is equipped with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. Online orders to DigiKey can only be initiated from a browser that supports SSL. In such cases, your browser will automatically switch to a secure mode when you make purchases. If your browser does not support SSL or you would like to place orders using methods outside the Site, please refer to the Ordering FAQs for alternative and available options.
   
   We will undertake all reasonable and practical measures to ensure that no personal information is collected that is not related to the Site or our services. We will retain your personal information only for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice unless there is a specific need to extend such retention period or where it is permitted by law.
2. In the event of a personal information security incident, we will notify you by text message, sending emails or other feasible methods of the basic information and potential impact of the incident, the actions we have taken or will take in response thereto, suggestions for taking precautions and reducing the risk at your own discretion, and the remedial actions that may be pursued for you in accordance with the requirements of the relevant laws and regulations. Meanwhile, we will also proactively report on the management of the personal information security incident as mandated by regulatory authorities.

V. Your Rights

1. Accessing and Copying Your Personal Information

   To access the personal information you have provided, you may click on "my DigiKey" – "myDIGIKEY" - "Edit" on the page of the Site.

   You have the right to request a copy of your personal information. If you would like a copy of the personal information we collect of yours, you may do so at any time via our online customer service or by the contact information in Section VIII of this Privacy Notice "How to Contact Us". In compliance with applicable laws and to the extent technically possible, we will verify your identity and provide you with a copy of your personal information upon your request.

2. Correcting and Supplementing Your Personal Information

   If you discover any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to correct or supplement your personal information. This includes details such as your name, password, email address, shipping address, customer summary. You can initiate these corrections or supplements by clicking on "my DigiKey" – "myDIGIKEY" – "Edit" on the page of the Site. Alternatively, you may also contact us at any time via our online customer service or by the contact information in Section VIII of this Privacy Notice "How to Contact Us". We will verify your identity and promptly correct or supplement your personal information.

3. Deleting Your Personal Information

   If you wish to delete your personal information, withdraw your consent to this Privacy Notice or cancel your myDIGIKEY account, you initiate these actions through our online customer service or by using the contact information provided in Section VIII of this Privacy Notice "How to Contact Us". It is important to note that upon canceling your account, you will no longer have access to any information associated with that account.

   Once your personal information on the Site is deleted from the business system, it may not be immediately removed from the backup system if the retention period required by law or administrative regulation has not expired, or due to technical limitations. We will securely store your personal information and restrict any further processing of it until the backups can be erased or anonymized.

4. Accessing, Saving and Asking Us for Explanation of this Privacy Notice

   If you would like to access this Privacy Notice, you can do so at any time by clicking on "Privacy Notice" at the bottom of the Site. This Privacy Notice is in a reproducible state, allowing you to copy and save it yourself. Should you have any question about any rules regarding the processing of personal information not explicitly mentioned in this Privacy Notice but arising from the use of the Site or our services, you may inquire us for an explanation by using the contact information provided in Section VIII of this Privacy Notice "How to Contact Us".

5. Responding to Your Requests

   We will respond to any of the above requests within 15 business days of receipt of your request. To safeguard the security of your account and personal information, when you submit a request, we may require that you provide information for the purpose of verifying your identity and the legitimacy of the request.

VI. Rules on Children's Personal Information Processing

The Site is not intended to solicit, collect or process any personal information of a minor under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that we have inadvertently collected information about your child, please contact us by sending an e-mail to privacy@digikey.com.

VII. How we update this Privacy Notice

To provide you with a better experience, we consistently strive to improve our services and technology. When the Site undergoes updates or when compliance requirements change, we may update portions of this Privacy Notice to inform you of specific changes.
