Solid State Lighting Connector Contacts

Products in the solid state lighting connector contact family are interconnect products designed for use in LED-based illumination applications, which are characterized by a need for wire-to-board and board-to-board interconnects having low product and assembly costs, low mating cycle lives, and current carrying capacities of a few amperes or less. The convention of a "contact" referencing a wire-applied component that is subsequently inserted into a "housing" has not been well maintained in this context, resulting in similar products also being catalogued as solid state lighting connectors.
