Here are the basic rules for using the combined operating modes and an example of how the Timer Array Unit can be split for a certain application. In this application channel zero is used as PWM master and channels one and two are used as slaves. Thus by using these three channels 0-2 in PWM mode, two outputs can be generated. Both outputs are completely independent but the period is the same for both, because both PWMs are using the same master.
