The 298D M and P case are marked to indicate capacitance and or voltage rating. For the “M” (0603) case, the single digit indicates a voltage code and for the “P” case (0805) the first character denotes the voltage code and the second, the cap code. The codes are detailed in the 298D Datasheet. The K case(0402) are unmarked. The above photo does an excellent job of displaying the L-shaped, sputtered tin coated leads which provide superior solder-bonding over competitors’ standard, bottom-sided terminations.
