In summary, TI’s code composer studio version 5 is based on Eclipse open source software framework and all the work is based on projects of a collection of source, include and configuration files. The MSP430 peripheral driver library (DriverLib) has the MSP430 driver library, supports F5xx/6xx, FR57xx, and FR58/59xx families, and growing. The peripheral layer is abstracted. DriverLib uses API function calls for code legibility vs. direct register access; making code more modular and portable.
