Shown here is a three-phase BLDC motor where the coils are actually split up among six stator poles and this is a four-pole rotor. So what this means is that there is going to be a 2 to 1 ratio between electrical degrees and mechanical degrees. So what the designer has here is some arrows which show the direction that the current will be flowing. Shown are which transistors in the inverter are going to be turned on, which ones will be turned off and the effects of the inductive flyback.
