There are three main power sections in the LPC1700, two of which are shown in the image on the right. One power section is a single 3.3 V power supply (2.4V to 3.6V) with an on-chip voltage regulator for the core and IO pins, the VBAT pin (2.1V to 3.6V) which allows turning off power to the bulk of the device while maintaining operation of the real time clock and backup registers. The other is the data converter supply section (2.7V to 3.6V) which is used as a reference for the ADC and DAC.
