A two ball bearing in an axial fan consists of two sets of ball bearings. The dual ball bearings increase the surface area to provide a smooth and consistent operation by reducing the amount of friction produced. This type of bearing is very stable at high temperatures in comparison to other bearing types, but it is weak against shocks to the fan. Noise becomes more of an issue as the bearing ages.
