Another competitive advantage of this sensor is its repeatable output. The sealing as well as the high shock and vibration resistance allow this sensor to provide a repeatable output. This is true for all of Honeywell’s SMART Position Sensors. This repeatable output occurs within a 3.0mm, ±2.0mm [0.118in ±0.079in] air gap between the sensor and magnet collar, expanding the potential application opportunities. The IP67 and IP69K sealing allows for use in dirty, harsh environments. It allows for use in immersion in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes and high pressure water sprays. Lastly, this sensor has high shock and vibration resistance, allowing for use in a wide variety of tough applications.
