Würth Elektronik offers a wide range of visible PLCC LEDs. The customer has the opportunity to choose between 11 mono-color LEDs in two packages: 2214 and 3528, existing with two pins. These LEDs produce a full spectrum of visible colors. Two different packages for mono-color LEDs are available in the WL-SMTW series. The 2214 LED with the dimensions of 2.2mm x 1.4mm x 1.3mm is one of the smallest industry standard PLCC LEDs, which is ideally suited for various cost competitive applications. With the white package, they are flexible in design and an ideal solution for applications that require small scale, high intensity and high reliability. They can be used in applications like backlighting, celluar phones, switches, camara flashes and panels. In addition to the Mini-Top LED, the second common package is 3528 with the dimensions of 3.5mm x 2.8mm x 1.9mm. Because of the low energy consumption and the high reliability, the LEDs are suitable in diverse applications; for example general lighting, signage and optical indicators, scanners and in telecommunications.
