The PLCC 6 5050 package allows individual driving of each chip in parallel circuits. It is the biggest, common SMD package that can offer very intense light output. The 5050 is well suited for lighting areas that may be subjected to high levels of ambient light. The WL-SFTW‘s combination of three different chips in one package can create millions of color variations, perfect for color splashing of walls, accent, and decorative lighting. In addition to the WL-SFTW series, a second series for RGB PLCC is available in the WL-SFTD series. The 3535 Top LED features an IPx6 water resistant rating in a PLCC 6 package with diffused lens. These high performance full color SMD LEDs are designed to work in a wide range of applications. The encapsulation resin contains UV inhibitors to minimize the effects of long-term exposure to direct sunlight, resulting in stable light output over the life of the LED. This PLCC 6 package has an increased package height to ease in the manufacturing process. A wide viewing angle and high intensity make these LEDs suitable for outdoor and full color video signage applications.
