The PI31xx series converters can be deployed in a variety of ways to provide added design flexibility. It is small enough to be used as an isolated point-of-load (PoL) converter, additionally in a low-power application a PI31xx can replace two regulation stages, both an intermediate bus as well as the point-of-load. In higher power applications, it is an additional low-power auxiliary supply, and in lower power applications the PI31xx can be used to create an intermediate bus to PoLs or LDO’s. The PI31xx can be used in most any application that requires high-density and design simplicity.
