The left graph shows the performance of 3 aluminum electrolytic EKY-160ELL102MJ20S capacitors used together, while the graph on the right illustrates the use of a single PSC series conductive polymer capacitor. The data clearly shows that a single PSC capacitor can achieve the same ripple elimination capacity as three aluminum electrolytic capacitors larger in size and capacitance. This means that the PS type can reduce the overall number of capacitors on PC board.
