To compliment TI’s low cost devices is the low cost C5535 eZdsp development kit. It includes a small sized development board with a lot of features, such as an on board codec with line in and line out ports, an LCD screen, micro-SD card slot, SPI flash, TI wireless connectors, and expansion connectors for accommodating customers starter boards. It has an on board JTAG emulator, which comes with a free full-featured version of Code Composer Studio 4.0. To help create an out-of-the-box demo for customers TI has also included headphones with a microphone and the micro-SD card with an adaptor. The micro-SD card is preloaded with the USB audio class software and the customer can use the eZdsp board as USB headsets. Just plug in the headphones provided for the complete experience. The LCD screen will show the spectrum analyzer of the music which is being played from the host computer. The complete USB audio class source code is also included on the CD.
