It must also be mentioned that Silicon Carbide MOSFETs are the only SiC transistor solution offering an intrinsic body diode with true SiC performance i.e. negligible reverse recovery charge. This is applicable in hard switching topologies often used in motor control. MOSFETs can be used in high power motor drives and other high power applications without any added complexity to the design.
