For a large inductor value of 17 nH (which translates to worst case Q-factor) the Q-factor is approximately fifty at the frequency of interest (1-2 GHz). With lower inductor values, 2 – 10 nH, Q-factors can reach up to one hundred in the 1-2 GHz frequency range. The choice of substrate significantly affects Q-factor. Since ST’s IPD devices are built on non-conductive glass substrate, Q-factor and nonlinearity performances are much better compared to LTCC/ceramic devices.
