The BD70522 is ROHM’s low quiescent current buck regulator with full features. This DC/DC consumes only 180nA when enabled and can deliver up to 500mA with 95% efficiency. The voltage is programmable from 1.2V to 3.3V, depending on the configuration of the VSEL1 and VSEL2 pins. To offer highest efficiency, the regulator can switch automatically from PFM to PWM modes. Evaluation kits are available from DigiKey. These features make the DC/DC a great fit for smoke detectors, thermostats, portable devices, wearable devices, low-IQ, and other energy harvesting type applications.
