DMAC-Slide7

This presentation will now look at the registers that control the function of the DMAC. There is a core set of four registers that control the transfers. These are the source & destination address registers, and the transfer and block count registers. These will be examined further in a bit. In addition, there are also Mode & control registers that setup the DMAC controller and interrupt & status registers allow one to monitor the completion of DMAC transfers. Finally, it’s important to note that one may need to set registers in the Interrupt Control Unit and any peripherals that one will use to trigger the DMAC.
