The first advantage of operating the NFC system from a boosted voltage is shown here graphically. As the handset battery is depleted, the NFC RF signal also declines, if directly connected. Boosting the NFC system voltage above the battery voltage produces a stronger signal, and through regulation it remains the same regardless of battery charge state.
