DAC operations can be monitored using an internal auxiliary ADC for correction and calibration purpose. In such a mode, the ADC samples the DAC-configured ports to allow the host to monitor that the voltage at the port is within expectations given the accuracy of the ADC and DAC. When this mode is used both DAC and auxiliary ADC would use the same referenced voltage.
