On this slide the left plot, P0, shows the sine wave generated while the right-hand plot, P10, shows the data read by the ADC. The Munich GUI executes the sequence, writing to the DAC, then reading from the ADC. The ADC runs at maximum sample-rate of 400 Ksps which is much faster than the DAC’s settling time of 40 µseconds. Observe how the ADC waveform appears lumpy because the ADC is running at maximum sample rate, not waiting for the DAC output to settle, thereby the DAC settling time limits the number of discrete sample points.
