SparkFun Artemis Module and Nordic Thingy:91 New Product Discoveries Episode 204 | DigiKey
In this video, Ashley introduces the SparkFun Artemis RF Transceiver Module and the Thingy:91 IoT Sensor Kit by Nordic Semiconductor. The Artemis mass-market ready RF transceiver module from SparkFun is designed to bridge the gap between hobbyists and consumer products. It runs on a Cortex-M4F, includes BLE 5.0 and can run at speeds up to 96MHz while consuming as little as 6uA per MHz (less than 5mW). The compact, 10 mm x 15 mm Artemis modules are open source, Arduino IDE friendly and fully FCC/IC/CE certified. The Nordic Thingy:91 is a battery-operated prototyping platform for cellular IoT Cloud operation and is certified for global operation. It is ideal for rapid IoT prototype development and includes built-in asset tracking, temperature, humidity, air quality, air pressure, color, and light sensors and output indication via RGB LEDs and a buzzer. Nordic Thingy:91 integrates the nRF9160 System supporting LTE-M, NB-IoT and Global Positioning System (GPS), BLE and Near Field Communication (NFC). A 1400 mAh rechargeable Li-Po battery is included for remote field-testing.
