Sparkfun's Blynk Board was created for use with the Blynk IoT app builder and is based on the ESP8266. The Blynk Board is able to connect with both open and protected Wi-Fi and powered using a micro USB port or LiPo battery.

      Sparkfun Blynk Board | DigiKey Daily

      Sparkfun has created a board specifically for use with the Blynk IoT app builder, aptly named the Sparkfun Blynk Board. Based on the ESP8266, this board can connect to both open and protected Wi-Fi to connect with a Blynk mobile app. Using a GUI drag and drop editor to create an app , you can control the Blynk board via the GPIOs and receive sensor data from the single ADC or the onboard temperature and humidity sensor. This can be powered either via a micro USB port or a lithium polymer battery using a standard JST connector, providing the flexibility to choose between a static and mobile application.
