Many triple output power supplies have all three outputs sharing a common zero Volt line, connecting all the outputs together. The KMT models separate output 1 from outputs two and three in order to provide additional flexibility when using the KMT. For example, outputs 2 & 3 can be connected in series to give a 24V output. Improved regulation is gained on the main output while the output noise is reduced by separating the 5 Volt digital (Output 1) and the plus and minus 12 Volt analog (Outputs 2 and 3) circuits.
