A high current toroidal inductor is a component capable of carrying high current with large inductance and low losses. The advantages include compact size, low DCR, and low losses leading to higher efficiency. The benefits of the design itself result in a smaller on-board footprint, size reduction, and lower part count. The distributed air gap design of the core allows the inductor to work well with high current and low loss creating high storage capability.
