Replacing MLCCs with Tantalum Capacitors

Welcome to the ROHM Semiconductor Replacing MLCCs with Tantalum Capacitors product training module. This presentation will provide a brief overview of ceramic and tantalum capacitors, and explain how tantalum capacitors can replace most MLCC capacitors. This training module will also provide some comparison examples between the ceramic and tantalum capacitors. Due to industry-wide shortage of MLCC capacitors, designers are looking for alternatives to MLCCs. Tantalum capacitors are very similar to MLCCs and provide more benefits to the designers.
