Antenna circuitry requires good frequency characteristics and excellent suppression characteristics also. These charts show the relative ESD Protection performance of a simple inductor compared with an ESD suppressor when the charges enters via the antenna. Both graphs show the superior performance of the ESD Suppressor in terms of lower attenuation and lower ESD energy being passed through the circuit.
