The second type of Littelfuse overcurrent protection is fuse technology. A fuse is a simple device that consists of a metal wire or strip that melts when the current flow is too high. When the metal strip melts, it opens the circuit, cutting off the current flow and protecting the electronic equipment from damage caused by excessive current. Most fuses are non-resettable.
