Increases in data throughput can be achieved by taking advantage of Quad SPI or Quad I/O SPI read commands. Throughput can also be increased by increasing the clock speed. The table shown here showcases ISSI’s SPI Flash products with various clock speeds and their associated throughput when operated in various SPI modes. ISSI’s 256 Mbit can achieve 166 Mhz Quad SPI speeds for 664 Mbits/s of data throughput.
