With low Young’s modulus characteristics, Gap Pad® VO Ultra Soft is more compliant than other Gap Pad materials. It requires very low stress to achieve its desired stress/strain in applications. There are also advantages in using Gap Pad® VO Ultra Soft in applications where there are wider tolerance gaps, which require high rebound characteristics. The material ensures contact between the surfaces where optimal heat flow is needed. The Fiberglass reinforced carrier acts as a medium to resist puncture, shear and tear in application system. Gap Pad® VO Ultra Soft has been used in many industries and has proven to be the “work horse” of the TIM. Some of the applications include usage in telecommunications, computers, power conversion, devices between heat sinks and LED lighting.
