In addition to hybrid and electric automobiles there are various similar charging and discharging applications where an on-board charger is present. These are application such as material handling equipment, mass transit vehicles, golf carts, and airport ground support equipment. The PTC-ICL components fit the same applications. The J-series types offer an added benefit; they are ideally suited for harsh environments due to the encasement in which the PTC-ICL disc is housed. This aids in the prevention of dirt, dust, and similar contamination ingress.
