Product List
The SSR structure, shown on the right, has a horizontal structure and provides low channel resistance, with a larger boundary layer, which often contributes to a higher capacitance value. This horizontal structure will tolerate lower voltages than the vertical structure. The material for the horizontal structure can be configured for low capacitance “C” and resistance “R” values, leading to a “CxR” value of capacitance multiplied by resistance. This value of “CxR” is often used as a measure of how the SSR will perform in various applications. Each SSR should be evaluated for performance at the desired frequency of operation prior to its use in the final application.
