The high power resistors are produced using 100% thin film (sputter) technology to ensure thorough coverage of the parts, resulting in consistency from lot to lot and better leach resistance versus standard thick film technology. The thin film process allows various conductive materials to be used in order to offer non-magnetic, RoHS compliant parts, as well as higher performance under thermal shock requirements. Aluminum Nitride (AlN) substrate offers advantage of non-toxic, high power handling versus traditional Beryllium Oxide (BeO) substrate. Both matched and mismatched DC and RF high frequency designs are available for optimized VSWR. Parallel gap welded leads help to hold the parts in place and maintain mechanical performance.
