Precautions for product storage
EMI-RFIFiltersshouldbestoredinnormalworkingenvironments.Whilethefiltersthemselvesarequiterobustinother
environments, solderability will be degraded by exposure to high temperatures, high humidity, corrosive atmospheres, and
long term storage.
KEMETrecommendsthatmaximumstoragetemperaturenotexceed40°Candmaximumstoragehumiditynotexceed70%
relativehumidityandatmospheresshouldbefreeofchlorineandsulfurbearingcompounds.Temperaturefluctuations
shouldbeminimizedtoavoidcondensationontheparts.Also,avoidstoragenearstrongmagneticfieldsasthismight
magnetizetheproduct.
FortheGLpartswithsolderterminalsascategorizedinTable1-Ratings&PartNumberReference,foroptimized
solderability, their stock should be used promptly, preferably within 6 months of receipt. For the other parts, having Faston®
terminals, their stock should be used preferably within 12 months of receipt.
