The Marketplace Program

DigiKey’s Marketplace program is a fast-growing sales solution that has the largest number of suppliers participating today. It features fast onboarding and supports supplier driven decision making, such as setting your resales and selling regions to ship into. Additionally, DigiKey does not charge fees unless your products are sold, making this program a low-risk way to transact in the e-commerce world.

• DigiKey invests in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) with Google, Bing, or Yahoo, focusing on the regions you want to ship to.  
• The supplier uses a secure portal to set resale pricing, lead time, and order acceptance or denial.
• DigiKey vets each customer, shipment, and method of payment before an order notice is sent.
• DigiKey only asks for 25% of the resale, thereby returning 75% of resale back to the supplier.
• The program is perfect for products that are hazardous, large, value-added, legacy & end of life, or early prototype.

The Fulfilled by DigiKey Program

If you want to leverage DigiKey’s warehouse and have us ship your products internationally, the Fulfilled by DigiKey program is a low-cost way to leverage DigiKey’s ability to pick, pack, and ship your products while helping you increase your sales and repeat purchases. You will be leveraging DigiKey’s world class warehouse and website, gaining exposure to over 800K existing customers worldwide. DigiKey will ship your products using our world class logistics services, allowing you to focus on running your business. DigiKey will handle all customer inquiries, manage returns, and leverage our global shipping and logistics with extremely low supplier fees, promoting future growth.

• DigiKey invests in global SEO (Search Engine Optimization) with Google, Bing, Baidu, and others.
• DigiKey will promote your products on all 45 websites and translate your pages to local languages.
• All local currencies are provided for ease of transactions to include duties and taxes.
• A small storage fee of $50.00 per month covers up to 100-part numbers.
• DigiKey sends a POS report monthly for the supplier to invoice for those sales.
• Onsite inventory opens suppliers to additional programs such as sample programs and master fulfillment programs.

Traditional Distribution (Core)

DigiKey’s traditional distribution program allows for a supplier to partner with DigiKey to have buffered inventory within the sales channel and allow for larger quantity buys, while alleviating long lead times for products. This program typically requires a robust history of selling with DigiKey in our Marketplace and Fulfilled by DigiKey programs.

• DigiKey owns inventory, promotes, sells, and ships your products globally.
• Aggressive growth and long-term partnerships are expected with this model.
• A DigiKey written agreement is required to be signed.
• Stock returns and scrap provisions are built into the agreement.
• Onsite inventory opens suppliers to additional programs such as sample programs and master fulfillment programs.

Hosted Cart

Supplier Logistics

Samples Fulfillment
