LTM8065 step-down power module regulator that integrates the controller, switching, inductor, and additional components in a small BGA package to simplify power design in automotive, industrial, battery-powered, and point-of-load applications. The module operates from inputs up to 40 V and supports outputs from 0.97 V to 18 V with 3.5 A peak and 2.5 A continuous output current. The LTM8065 can operate in burst, pulse-skipping, and spread spectrum modes to optimize performance to the target application needs, and can sync to an external clock. The modules offer a selectable switching frequency from 200 kHz to 3 MHz, and the switching frequency as well as the output voltage are each set with a single resistor.
