Wireless Power allows the user to charge a number of small handheld devices like Mobile Phones, Tablets, MP3-Players and other devices at the same time without cords and independently from the current location. The only necessity is a wireless power enabled surface (the wireless power transmitter) which can be installed in nearly every device. The ability to charge devices wirelessly would also take the place of carrying a variety of different chargers and adapters around. Many leading manufacturers of mobile devices already have products according to the Qi standard or are developing compatible devices. There are also many manufacturers who offer chargers installed in furniture that are being used in public places.
