The LinkSwitch-II has advanced features for accurate CV/CC control. For example, LinkSwitch-II circuitry provides compensation for transformer inductance tolerance, line input variation, and in the LNK61X series, output cable voltage drop. The frequency jitter feature greatly reduces EMI generation, and therefore EMI filter cost. The LinkSwitch-II also provides advanced protection and safety features like auto-restart and hysteretic thermal shutdown. The IC package design provides high creepage distances between the high-voltage drain pin and all other pins. This increases reliability in highly humid or polluted environments, which is important for appliances and industrial applications.
