Contacts are available in stamped/formed and machined types. The stamped/formed types are produced out of a flat piece of metal that is stamped and formed into the contact and can be plated with different materials at different thicknesses. The NorComp stamped and formed contacts are compatible with most industry standard termination presses. The machined contacts are a solid piece of metal that is precision cut and barrel plated. They provide a higher reliability rate and are a better quality contact. Like the stamped/formed, different plating thicknesses are available. Loose piece contacts can be terminated with a hand tool purchased separately.
