It integrates both high-side (HS-FET) and low-side (LS-FET) power MOSFETs, delivering between 2 A and 6 A of efficient output current (IOUT). The device utilizes proprietary zero-delay pulse-width modulation (ZDPTM) control for fixed-frequency operation, ensuring excellent transient performance.

Designed with a broad input voltage range of 3.3 V to 36 V and capable of handling up to 42 V load dump conditions, the MPQ4340A-AEC1 is well-suited for automotive environments. Its ultra-low quiescent current of 1 μA in shutdown mode makes it a strong fit for power-conscious battery-powered applications.

To maintain high efficiency across varying loads, the MPQ4340A-AEC1 automatically reduces switching frequency at light loads, cutting down on switching and gate drive losses. A power good (PG) output with open-drain configuration flags when the output voltage is within 94% to 106% of its nominal value.

Robust protection features include thermal shutdown to ensure reliable operation in fault conditions. Additionally, the device supports a high duty cycle and a low-dropout (LDO) mode, allowing it to operate through cold-crank scenarios typical in automotive systems.

The MPQ4340A-AEC1 is offered in a compact, 3 mm x 4 mm QFN-17 package and meets AEC-Q100 Grade 1 standards for automotive reliability.
