Digi-Key Announces Stock on SP1005/SP1007 Silicon Protection Array (SPA™) TVS Diodes from Littelfuse

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minnesota, USA - 2010 年 06 月 29 日

Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry's broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, today announced it has stock on Littelfuse SP1005 and SP1007 bidirectional 0201 size Silicon Protection Array (SPA™) devices for ESD protection.

These new products are now available for purchase on Digi-Key's global websites and will be featured in future print and online catalogs within the TVS Diodes section.

The SPA SP1005 and SP1007 Series are bidirectional 0201 size TVS diodes for ESD protection. Both products are capable of protecting chipsets up to ±8kV (SP1007) or ±30kV (SP1005) with very low dynamic resistances of 1.9Ω and 0.7Ω, respectively. Both devices offer best-in-class clamping performance and meet or exceed the maximum level specified in the IEC61000-4-2 international standard (Level 4, ±8kV contact discharge).

Both the SP1005 and SP1007 series are offered in the 0201 package, one of the industry's smallest footprints. Back-to-back Zener diodes fabricated in a proprietary silicon avalanche technology provide protection for electronic equipment that may experience destructive electrostatic discharges (ESD). These robust diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes above the maximum level specified in the IEC61000-4-2 international standard (Level 4, ±8kV contact discharge) without performance degradation. The back-to-back configuration provides symmetrical ESD protection for data lines when AC signals are present.

Features of the SP1005 series include ESD IEC610000-4-2, ±30kV contact, ±30kV air; EFT IEC610000-4-4, 40A (5/50ns); Lightning IEC610000-4-5, 10A (tp=8/20μs); Low capacitance of 30pF (@ VR=0V); Low leakage current of 0.1μA at 5V; and the industry's smallest footprint available (0201).

Features of the SP1007 series include ESD IEC610000-4-2, ±8kV contact, ±15kV air; EFT IEC610000-4-4, 40A (5/50ns); Lightning IEC610000-4-5, 2A (tp=8/20μs); Low capacitance of 3.5pF (@ VR=2.5V); Low leakage current of 0.1μA at 5V; and the industry's smallest footprint available (0201).

Applications for both the SP1005 and SP1007 series include mobile phones, smart phone, camcorders, PDA, digital cameras, MP3/PMP, portable navigation devices, portable medical devices, and point of sale terminals.
