This new product is now available for purchase on Digi-Key's global websites and will be featured in future print and online catalogs.

"The new Evaldi earphones by Molex are an exciting addition to the Molex line and to Digi-Key's broad offering of audio products," said Jeff Shafer, Digi-Key's vice president of interconnect, passive, and electromechanical product. "We are excited to offer this new product to our customers and look forward to future audio developments from Molex."

Designed with the engineer in mind, the new Evaldi earphones by Molex utilize advanced micro technology to offer high fidelity sound quality and a comfortable fit. With the Evaldi earphones, users experience "three-dimensional" sound that is equivalent to listening to a set of high-end home stereo speakers. Patented airstream-control technology enables the transmission of both sharper high tones and lower bass sounds without interference. Additionally, an inclined stem with elliptical shape provides a better fit for the ear canal and delivers higher-quality sound.

The Evaldi line also provides superior comfort and customizing options for each user's sound experience. Packaged in a segmented, white leather pouch, Evaldi earphones come with six sets of ear pads in small, medium, and large sizes that provide different levels of bass sound and noise isolation. The open type ear pad includes a center hole surrounded by six smaller elongated holes to protect against low frequency boosts of sound and to absorb external noise for a more balanced listening experience. The closed type ear pads provide more isolated bass sounds while the open type ear pads help balance high and low tones.

The exit shape of the ear pads creates a stable air channel for sound. The precision-shaped pressure ring inside each earphone can be customized to achieve desired frequency tones. Exhaust holes in different sizes provide additional frequency controls.

"Digi-Key is truly excited to have the opportunity to serve as the exclusive seller of the Evaldi line. Although similar audio products for consumers are traditionally relegated to retailers such as Target, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack and Best Buy, Digi-Key's unique position as the industry's leading internet retailer of board level electronic components provides us with the ability to utilize our significant global online marketing and e-commerce capabilities to capture myriad audiences," said Tony Harris, Digi-Key's chief marketing officer (CMO). "Much like the first signature model Fender Stratocaster electric guitar designed for Eric Clapton, the Evaldi earphones where designed with the most discerning engineer in mind. We're confident that our core audience of design engineers will be drawn to the quality of sound delivered by Evaldi earphones, in addition to the many technologists, rockers, skateboarders and music enthusiasts who enjoy hearing every vital note from their favorite artists."

Digi-Key has signed a limited, one-year distribution agreement with Molex to be the only distributor for the Evaldi earphones. To purchase Evaldi earphones, click here.
