Overall precision is an aggregate of the initial precision, temperature drift, noise, etc. High precision shunt regulators enable high accuracy power supplies and sensing circuits in high cell count battery systems with low voltage discharge profiles. Lower precision shunt regulators are used in medium accuracy power supplies and small form factor applications such as consumer devices. Part numbers with the suffix Q are qualified according to the Automotive AECQ100 integrated circuit qualification standard and are manufactured on an automotive grade flow.
