Texas Instruments’ TAS5805M is a high-efficiency, digital-input audio amplifier for use in portable audio devices, IoT appliances, wireless speakers, and many other applications. The amplifier supports 23 W per channel stereo or 45 W mono applications, with excellent THD+N and SNR. The integrated audio processor supports multiple input interfaces and sampling rates up to 96 kHz, and it provides enhanced audio processing capabilities including multi-band advanced DRC and AGL, 15 BQs per channel, volume control, audio mixing, a THD manager and a level meter. The TAS5805M offers power supply flexibility and uses TI’s proprietary Hybrid Modulation scheme, resulting in very low quiescent current to extend battery life in portable applications, while advanced EMI suppression and the closed-loop design reduce board space and lower system cost.
