SparkFun ESP32 Thing | Maker Minute
ESP32 is a single chip 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo chip, called the “Thing” by SparkFun because it’s the perfect foundation for Internet of Things projects. The Thing does everything, from blinking an LED to posting data with web services, and can be programmed like any microcontroller. The ESP32 is an integrated 802.11 BGN WiFi transceiver with integrated dual-mode Bluetooth. It has a 7-stage pipeline to support the clock frequency of up to 240 MHz . It also contains two low-power Xtensa® 32-bit LX6 microprocessors, 520 KBytes on-chip SRAM for data and instruction, and a power supply of 2.2 V to 3.6 V. The ESP32’s power and RF performance, versatility, and reliability make it ideal for IoT projects.
