APEM TS Series with LED Backlighting | DigiKey Daily

APEM expands its TS series thumbstick controls to include an LED-backlighting option for providing visibility in dimly lit conditions. APEM’s TS series is a miniature joystick featuring contactless Hall effect technology to provide long life proportional control. Its distinctive features include: analog, PWM or USB outputs; IP67 sealing; rear or drop-in replacement; and, a pushbutton option. With a total current draw of no more than 16 milliamps, the LED Thumbstick option is well suited for wireless remote control applications where visibility is low and battery life and power consumption are critical. The Thumbstick’s backlighting option utilizes an overmolded polycarbonate castle-style actuator to effectively diffuse the LED and provide illumination over a wide viewing angle. Both red and blue color options are available.
