Interference suppression capacitors
Würth Elektronik's VDE, cULus and CQC certified X2 film capacitors in the 275 VAC and 310 VAC voltage ranges guarantee reliable interference suppression for the application. The components are available in 7.5-37.5 mm pitch up to a maximum of 6.8 μF. Pulse stability extends to 600 V/μs. MLCC-based X & Y capacitors with 1808 and 1812 to 2211 packages meet the requirements for miniaturization of the application. All types are TÜV tested and are approved according to the relevant UL standard. Würth Elektronik is the only manufacturer to stock film capacitors with two standard pin lengths. The ‘CS’ suffix refers to short lead capacitors with 4 mm length, which are ideal for production. Parts not containing the ‘CS’ suffix have long leads (20.0 mm) which are suited to fit prototyping needs.

Aluminum polymer capacitors
Aluminum polymer capacitors are widely recognized as an innovation in the field of charge storage devices. It is here that Würth Elektronik offers parts in V-Chip SMD and Radial THD with extremely low ESR values, high capacitances, long service life and voltages currently up to 63 V(DC). Aluminum Polymer Capacitors contain solid conductive polymer instead of wet electrolytic.

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors (Aluminum Snap-in available at DigiKey; V-chip SMD & THT coming soon)
Würth Elektronik's aluminum electrolytic capacitors are available in various designs: V-Chip SMD, Radial THD, and Snap-In with high capacitances and voltages are also available as non-polar versions. These are provided for the standard application with 85 °C and 1000 h, as are components with up to 125 °C and an extended service life of up to 10,000 h. In an Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor the cathode consists of wet electrolytic whereas the anode is made of an aluminum foil. An Al2O3 oxidization layer on the anode foil operates as the dielectric. In comparison to Aluminum Polymer Capacitors, the Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors are offered up to higher capacitance values (up to 3300 uF) and higher voltage ranges (up to 450 VDC).
