Current Output DACs

Current Output R-2R DACs, better described as impedance output, are high precision, multiplying digital-to-analog converters. Current Output R-2R DACs do not require the reference to be buffered like Voltage Output R-2R DACs, and therefore exhibit higher linearity. Analog Devices' Current Output R-2R DACs achieve very tight ±1 LSB INL and DNL specifications, and offer features like software selectable output spans (SoftSpan) and integrated precision resistors for reference inversion, bipolar offset, and gain and offset adjustment.
