Image of Analog Devices' RF ICsAnalog Devices' ADL5240 is a high performance, digitally controlled variable gain amplifier (VGA) operating from 100 MHz to 4000 MHz. The VGA integrates a high performance, 20 dB gain, internally matched amplifier (AMP) with a 6-bit digital step attenuator (DSA) that has a gain control range of 31.5 dB in 0.5 dB steps with ±0.25 dB step accuracy. The attenuation of the DSA can be controlled using a serial or parallel interface.

The ADL5243 is a high performance, digitally controlled variable gain amplifier operating from 100 MHz to 4000 MHz. The VGA integrates two high performance amplifiers and a digital step attenuator (DSA). Amplifier 1 (AMP1) is an internally matched gain block amplifier with 20 dB gain, and Amplifier 2 (AMP2) is a broadband 1/4 W driver amplifier. The DSA is 6-bit with a 31.5 dB gain control range, 0.5 dB steps, and ±0.25 dB step accuracy. The attenuation of the DSA can be controlled using a serial or parallel interface.

The ADL5565 is a high performance differential amplifier optimized for RF and IF applications. The amplifier offers low noise of 1.5 nV/√Hz and excellent distortion performance over a wide frequency range making it an ideal driver for high speed 8-bit to 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).

The ADL5811 and ADL5812 use revolutionary new broadband, square wave limiting, local oscillator (LO) amplifiers to achieve an unprecedented radio frequency (RF) bandwidth of 700 MHz to 2800 MHz. Unlike conventional narrow-band sine wave LO amplifier solutions, this permits the LO to be applied either above or below the RF input over an extremely wide bandwidth. Additionally, because energy storage elements are not used, the dc current consumption also decreases with decreasing LO frequency.
