XC6220 Series Voltage Regulator

Torex's XC6220 series is a highly accurate, low noise, high speed, low dropout, and large current series of CMOS voltage regulators with GreenOperation functionality. A voltage regulator in this series consists of a voltage reference, error amplifier, current limiter, inrush current prevention circuit, and phase compensation circuit plus a driver transistor.

With a 0.2 Ω on-resistance driver transistor integrated and with output currents up to 1 A, the ultra low dropout voltage performance greatly extends battery life as does the GreenOperation function, which can switch between high speed and power save modes automatically. Output voltage is selectable in 0.05 V increments within the range of 0.8 V to 5.0 V, using laser trimming technologies. The CE function enables the output to be turned off, and the IC goes into stand-by mode, resulting in greatly reduced power consumption.
